Academy
NPT offers specialized training to support the preparation of both new case workers and current child welfare professionals who are advancing into new leadership roles.
Academy for
New Case Workers
Academy for new case workers is an intensive, pre-service training that provides beginning knowledge and awareness of areas crucial to child welfare practice. The training modules are a combination of instruction and active practice through application activities and simulation. These learning sessions focus on the scope and philosophical base of child protective services, the basic process and functions of providing child protective services, and an introduction to engagement, safety, court, and human behavior.

Through the classroom collaboration, one-on-one mentorship, and on-the-job training, Academy is an opportunity to cultivate supportive relationships with peers and leaders in the field of child welfare.
